Julián Lazalde

Civic Engagement Manager

Julián Lazalde focuses primarily on the Latino Policy Forum’s immigration policy work with a emphasis on developing, organizing, coordinating and implementing the Forum’s immigration issues training program (Immigration Promotores). He will also assist in the strategic initiatives of the civic engagement department, which will include interfacing on housing and early childhood education strategies. 

Prior to working at the Forum, Lazalde worked for various community-based organizations in Chicago as a community organizer in Pilsen and Little Village, director of workforce development programs at Erie Neighborhood House and with Catholic Relief Services as a program and advocacy officer on international humanitarian relief and solidarity initiatives in the Midwest.

He holds a B.A. in History from Williams College and an M.P.A. from the School of Public Service at DePaul University.
