"STRAINED SUBURBS" BROWN-BAG LUNCH BRIEFING
Join us for a brown bag lunch briefing and discussion with Benjamin Roth, co-author of Strained Suburbs: The Social Service Challenges of a Rising Suburban Poverty, and doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago School of Social Science Administration.
Benjamin will provide an overview of the brief, which examines the challenges that rising suburban poverty poses for local safety nets and community-based organizations. He'll also put just-released Census 2010 data into a suburban context, engaging participants in an earnest dialog about what increasing suburban diversity and poverty mean for us all.
This event is FREE will be held at 180 N. Michigan Avenue in Chicago, in the building's 6th floor conference room. Please note that space is limited. Participants should bring their own lunch. Pre-register below:
