ILLINOIS LATINO AGENDA

The Illinois Latino Agenda is a historic collaborative effort among Latino organizations that seeks to promote accountability in business, government, the private sector, and within the Latino community by leveraging their collective voice and influence.
The Agenda is a broad coalition of city- and suburban-based Latino-serving nonprofits, the largest Latino coalition in the region. Convened by the Latino Policy Forum and MALDEF, the Agenda currently has nearly 50 member organizations. Additional information on Agenda history and principles is available here.

The Latino Policy Forum works to develop priorities and a common agenda around each of its core issues. In addition to the Illinois Latino Agenda, there are currently three Acuerdos (Acuerdo is a Spanish word meaning mutual understanding, agreement, and accord) staffed by the Latino Policy Forum: The Housing Acuerdo, the Early Childhood Education Acuerdo, and the Immigration Acuerdo.
