The mission of the Latino Policy Forum is to build the power, influence, and leadership of the Latino community through collective action to transform public policies that ensure the well-being of its community and society as a whole. The Forum works to improve education outcomes for Latino children, address housing issues, advance an agenda on immigration reform and immigrant integration, and engage in strengthening the capacity of the Latino community. 

The Immigration Analyst implements all immigration focused issue areas with a particular emphasis on the public charge: conducting analysis, providing presentations and issue education and representing the Forum at the   Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) coalition. The role includes but is not limited to creating briefs, conducting research and analysis, providing testimonials, creating data and advocacy strategies, developing and sustaining working relationships with key stakeholders, managing immigration focused network and participating in related coalitions and advocacy efforts. The Immigration Analyst will effectively support the Forum’s mission/projects, work with diverse populations, and be strongly grounded in civic engagement issues. The position requires a great deal of flexibility and drive, the ability to manage multiple issues priorities, decision-making skills, team-building and goal setting.

Protecting Immigrant Families is a campaign made up of hundreds of diverse organizations committed to lifting up immigrant voices and advocating for humane immigration policies for our communities and in our community.

Qualifications

B.A. in policy or related field required; Advanced degree preferred. Three – five years’ experience in nonprofits, immigration led-work in the Latino community, organizing and/or prior experience in related issues. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required. Highly motivated and comfortable managing multiple assignments and staff. Superior communications (writing/speaking/presentation) and interpersonal skills required. Aptitude for taking initiative and problem solving. Working knowledge of Salesforce. Proficient in MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
