Nyki Salinas-Duda

Nyki Salinas-Duda is a writer focused on immigrant rights, racial politics, and other issues affecting US Latinos. She has reported on Latin American social movements and conducted extensive research on the land struggles of Chile’s indigenous Mapuche. Nyki’s work has appeared on the Chicago Reader, Culture Strike and Alternet, as well as in the pages of In These Times magazine and The Gate, a community newspaper dedicated to Latino-focused neighborhood coverage. She is an editorial assistant at the Public Media Institute.

Nyki holds a BA in Latin American history from the University of San Francisco, where she served as the editor of Divisadero, a journal of Latin American studies.
