Webinar: Children in the Anti-Immigrant Age

Every child and family deserves to feel welcome, safe and valued regardless of their actual or perceived immigration or citizenship status. Unfortunately, anti-immigrant policies, rhetoric and uncertainty are increasingly impacting the overall well-being and development of young children and families living in Illinois and across the nation. In response, early childhood and immigrant advocate organizations are partnering to present a webinar geared toward the early learning provider and administrator community. Join The Ounce, Illinois Action for Children, Latino Policy Forum and Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) to learn about the current immigration landscape, know your rights, “sensitive locations” policy, effects on young children and families, and resources and recommendations to best support families. The webinar will be offered in English and Spanish on December 5, 2017. To register for the webinar in English click here and for Spanish here.
