Debbie Zeilner

Institutional Advancement Coordinator

Debbie Zeilner is the Administrative Coordinator at the Latino Policy Forum.  Her work functions are in the areas of Finance, Development, Human Resources and Operations.  Debbie taught 8th grade Math for the Chicago Public Schools in the Little Village neighborhood for 11 years.  She received the Star in the Classroom Award from Econ Illinois in October 2013 for incorporating Financial Literacy into her Math curriculum.  In June of 2014, the Illinois State Board of Education awarded Debbie a Certificate of Appreciation during a luncheon at the Illinois Executive Mansion in Springfield. 

Priot to teaching, Debbie handled Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for hospitals, banks, and manufacturing companies for 19 years.  She also has a wide range of experience in business.  Debbie holds an A.A. in Business Administration from Moraine Valley Community College and a B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Xavier University in Chicago.
