Isabel Anadon

Senior Policy Analyst / Civic Advancement Manager

Isabel Anadon has worked extensively in the nonprofit sector for nearly 15 years. Since 2005, she has focused on building capacity within Illinois’ diverse immigrant community. She has assisted thousands of residents in learning English as a Second Language, obtaining citizenship, and in becoming active and vocal leaders on pressing community issues. 

Isabel manages an array of issues at the Forum, providing analysis on federal, state and local immigration policy. She was lead staff during the launch of the Illinois Latino Agenda in 2010.  She has helped ground leadership development as a central component of the Forum’s work through the Illinois Latino Nonprofit Leadership Academy and in the development of the Promotores de Inmigración (Immigrant Ambassadors) program.

Isabel has extensive experience across many sectors, having worked as a fellow for the City of Chicago's Office of the Mayor, a research fellow with the Cultural Policy Center at the University of Chicago, and as founder and administrator of a small business.  In 2012, she was one of the 25 Chicago "Club Leaders of the Future" highlighted in Latino Leaders Magazine.  

Isabel holds dual bachelor degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and a MPP from the Irving B. Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
