Jacob Vigil

Birth-to-Three Policy Coordinator

Jacob Vigil has seven years of direct service experience on issues related to children and youth, education, community development, domestic violence, and immigration, working with Latino families in New Mexico, California, and Illinois as an educator and social worker. Jacob draws from a strong background in education, including experience as the director of a Latino-focused summer literacy and enrichment program, and also in special and elementary education programs in California. He taught middle school students at an educational and social service organization in suburban Chicago. Jacob has also worked on social justice issues in the Philippines and Nicaragua in volunteer capacities. Most recently, Jacob worked with young children and their families as a bilingual child welfare caseworker in suburban Chicago.

Jacob holds a BA in Latin American History from Pomona College in Claremont, CA and a MSW from Loyola University in Chicago.
