Past Cohorts

In 2020, the Latino Policy Forum celebrated 10 years of leadership development, which began with the Illinois Nonprofit Latino Leadership Academy and then evolved into the Multicultural Leadership Academy.

Each year, the Forum selects around 24 civic leaders from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, including art, community organizing, culture, and policy, to participate in its leadership program. The Academy furthers its mission to bridge Latinos and African Americans by encouraging intercultural collaboration and social action, providing experiences to increase cross-cultural understanding, and developing a network of leaders who will be able to call upon each other in the future.
